Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Taking full ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and reporting for all four German entities under HGB and IFRS
Reviewing and challenging monthly management accounts prepared by the outsourced accounting provider
Coordinating the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for Germany
Preparing quarterly finance board packs for the German entities
Primary point of contact for external auditors, supporting and coordinating tax audits for all German entities
Coordinating invoicing of management fees, cost recoveries from managed funds and rebate payments to investors
Reviewing monthly payroll output prepared by the outsourced payroll provider, in coordination with the HR Manager
Overseeing Tax and VAT submissions and ensuring timely recovery of VAT and other expenses paid on behalf of funds
Performing monthly regulatory capital calculations and stress testing for the KVG entity as required by BaFin
Job Requirements
Degree in business administration finance, accounting or a related discipline from a recognized or applied university
Professional accounting qualification preferred: Bilanzbuchhalter/in (IHK), Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting or finance management, ideally gained in a combination of industry, audit or advisory roles
Solid working knowledge of both German HGB and IFRS; experience with HGB-to-IFRS conversion is an advantage
Familiarity with the German regulatory framework, particularly BaFin requirements for Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaften, is highly desirable
Experience with DATEV, SAP Concur, Hyperion or similar ERP/reporting systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, proactive and solution-oriented
Business-fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
